So my car 04 ford cmax has the crappy key lock on the bonnet and sometimes it takes 5 secs to open to 5 mins to 50 mins to open :p.
I'm wondering will this fail Nct? It probably will just want to double check.
And the boots switch on the boot doesn't work so to open the boot you gotta press the key or put the key in the boot itself, would they fail on something small like that?

Boot switch not working is not a fail , Just had this with my car . Only opens with key

Bonnet , not sure about that. Mine failed for spring on the safety catch , Was easy enough for me to fix that .
Not been able to open it might be a problem for them. WD40 everything :D

If the bonnet wont open first few trys it will fail.
It would only cost a few quid to repair the bonnet before it gets worse and wont open at all.
Take the whole lock and opening mechanism out pull the two apart and replace the little white clip between the two lock and mechanism.

Boot not opening wont be a fail just tell them it has to be opened with the key before it goes in.
But again its a simple fix most likely needs a boot switch five minute job.

I don't know about the bonnet problem, but the boot switch on the C-Max is a common problem, water gets in and corrodes the electrics. The design was changed later on and the new ones are better sealed. I got a new one from the Ford dealer and fitted it myself, pretty easy.

    Sound.
Is it possible to check the white clip without taking the whole unit out?
Don't want it to fall apart when I take it out, won't be able to close it if that happens :p
