I hear you singing in the wire, I can hear you through the whine . . :P

Seriously, the greatest song of all time and that's your response? Shame on you!

.... Seriously, the greatest song of all time....

Have you heard Villagers cover of it? It's absolutely wonderful.

Nope, I have no idea what that is.

I was walling spuds in a shed in the backarse of nowhere with nothing with a broken CD stuck on that song for company when Baywatch was still the main show on TV.

BM; We need to move on.

Back in the day, it was Glen Campbell and his Wichita Linesman. Yes. It was good.

Now? We need to evolve .....

Try it. Try the whole album. Trust me ;)

I'd rather listen to the Vengaboys

Nope, I have no idea what that is.

It's a film in the flicks right now (the director of which is Irish) where the lead character is obsessed with Glen Campbell and Wichita Linesman is in there too.

Wichita Linesman - Glen Campbell 1969. I presume you're referring to this song?

Mayo losing the all-Ireland. Let it go, OP, let it go.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Linear songs are so passé, curves are where it's at.
Round, like a circle in a spiral, a wheel within a wheel...

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

I thought this was about the new John Travolta movie?

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

    Hold on a minute....
a discussion of Glen Campbell that doesn't mention his GREATEST EVER song - Galveston!

I was about 13 or 14 and I was a confederate soldier and Geraldine ******* was the dusky dark haired beauty who lived around the corner. She never knew........

    ....sigh

Awesome song, I loved Glen Campbell as a kid and was my drinking song in my earlier years.

It then moved on to this

I went to Houston TX once for a conference. I had an afternoon off and a big ford automatic under my ar5e (with air conditioning, never saw the likes of it before). So I decided to drive to Galveston just because I recognised the name from that song. What an absolute 5hithole. Damn you Glen Campbell. I'll never get that 1/2 day back again.
