OK, so I found this on HUKD and it's available from the Irish Store, http://www.richersounds.ie/p-201786-ltdn58k700xwtse.aspx?swapstore=1#tabSpecifications-tab

    It's a 58inch HiSense (Active) 3D 4K TV.
    6yr Warranty!!!!!!
Number of HDMI inputs: 4 Number that will accept HDCP 2.2 = 2 (for 4K Blu-ray)
    USB sockets 3 (USB 3.0 - 1)
Optical Audio Port. (Full Specs in Link)

Those that wonder who HiSense are, they are a well known Asian brand, getting bigger in the european market, picked up a 55" 4K a few months back and can't fault it.
Great price at €657 choose £ as the currency to get that price, otherwise it comes in at €749.
    £6 delivery

Great early Christmas (yes, I used the C word) for anyone looking for a new TV.

With richer sounds 48+ TVs have call and collect service in the even of an issue!

Great service! Bought 4 TVs for new build earlier in the year! All with 6 yr warranties!

Spec says no HDR so you're wasting your money if thats the case. Most of the benefit in 4k comes from HDR and not the increase in resolution.

Good specs and price but lack of HDR is a killer.Lots of people bought 4K TVs too early.
Have to say that after seeing HDR in the flesh its more than a gimic.
The reason that most 2015/16 4k Tv sets are tumbling in price is lack of HDR.
Even pc monitor line ups for 2017 are bringing on board HDR,with the new gaming consoles PS4 Pro and new Xbox claiming its the must have for visual upgrades.

    Seen on an Amazon review:
Models K700 and XT910 will receive a USB update (Available by request and Hisense Website) to a new VL2 software and these models will support HDR.

    Can anyone confirm?

Don't know much about HDR but is it a SW thing?

    Mt French isn't great but Google's is excellent;

    "Update Firmware procedure 58K700
    1. Identify the correct firmware version by checking the HSSO code on the label on the back of your television
    2. If your code is well-HSSO 58700588EU, download files under: http://www.hisense.fr/telechargement/TV/K700/LTDN58K700XWTSEU3D/HSSO-58700588EU/upgrade_loader.pkg (G0905)
    3. If your code is well-HSSO 58700617EU, download files under: http://www.hisense.fr/telechargement/TV/K700/LTDN58K700XWTSEU3D/HSSO-58700617EU/upgrade_loader.pkg (G0818)
    4. Put the file to the root of a USB drive formatted as FAT32
    5. Plug the USB key turned on TV (USB 2.0 white color)
    6. Note the currently installed firmware version Menu> All> About> System Information
    7. Turn off the TV with the remote control button
    8. Turn on the TV with the remote control button and hold until the appearance of the message "Updating Software"
    9. Hisense logo is displayed and the update message appears
    10. Wait about 10 minutes until the update is done. DO NOT DISCONNECT OR TURN OFF THE POWER SUPPLY
    11. At the end of the update the TV automatically restarts
    12. You can check the update in Menu> All> About> System Information"

Declared interest here first - I work for Richer Sounds and we sell Hisense - I normally don't post outside our own Boards Forum ( http://www.boards.ie/ttforum/1105 ) but I noticed this thread and I had to make a couple of comments.

Hi guys - thanks for the posts and the Hisense 58K700 really is a nice TV and we do feel that its an excellent deal.

@Enfilade / Booterboy - its a little strong to say that you are wasting your money as the TV does not support HDR - to be fair its a really good quality, well reviewed 58" 4K Ultra HD TV at under £600 ... as far as I know there isn't any HDR 55/58/60" TV's on the Irish / UK market within that price sector? (especially with a 6 year warranty included)

@The Aytolla / Yanisk - I have also heard talk that a SW upgrade will enable HDR - we don not carry this in our specifications and we don't promise that this is the case so please don't purchase it on that basis - no matter who tell us something ( even the manufacturer) until we see a software upgrade actually introduced and working we don't assume that it will happen!

Thanks again guys and drop over to our Boards forum if you have any queries or of course if we can assist in any way,

    Best regards,

    @John
No doubt a great Tv and great value with a super warranty, have seen lots of positive reviews for Hisense Tvs.
Not trying to scare people off was just saying as you would know yourself John of the difference between HDR 4k and standard 4k.
Most likely that 90% of people walking into Richer Sounds/Currys etc have never heard of HDR so Im sure these TVs will sell like hot cakes anyway.

To be fair John I was thinking from the point of view if you already had a perfectly good 58inch HDTV then it's madness to move to a 4K without HDR as the increase in quality from resolution vs what HDR delivers is massive. I think anyone thats seen any of the 4K netflix stuff or gears of war running on an Xbox One S with HDR turned off and then turned on would agree with.

Whats also madness is the prices on some of the HDR TVs so I'll be holding off until this time next year for more wife and wallet friendly options :)

I read a review of this which said HDR is included in the latest firmware for it. I don't know if that's possible just passing on what I read

50'' Ultra HiDef With UTV Teletext free. Netflix and Bebo as standard. So you can watch **** with your 1 imaginary friend. Or you could just read a book.

Why are you on the internet then, when you could use a pigeon or morse code?

    are Hisense a good make???

they're relativity new when it comes to the TV market

They do seem to have some favourable stuff said about them in the reviews I've seen.

Like anything else I'd be dropping a considerable amount of money on I would like to see one up close for myself before buying.
