Astra 2/Eutelsat 28A help needed.. I know there is alot about this but its all older stuff.

I cant for the life of me tune in the UK channels.. I have moved into a new house that had 2 dishes.. so i connected them up and eventually on 1 of the 4 wires I got polish channels on some other satellite.

So ive been playing around with both dishs trying to get 28A.. ive apps on phone, a crappy tuner that picks up some satellite, compass, swapped in LNB'S and still cant get it to pick up a signal..

    Any suggestions?

Can you still receive the Polish channels on what is probably Hotbird? If you can then it is very easy to find Astra 2

Moved to Satellite forum (a better fit for your question)

If you are getting Polish Tv it is most likely your dish is pointing at Hotbird satellites on 13degrees East. You need to turn the dish around until it is pointing at 28.2degrees East for the astra UK channels. The same LNB etc works for both satellite systems. You may also encounter strong signals mainly in German from 19 degrees. Meaning you haven't moved the dish far enough.
Enter your address on this site and select astra 28E as the satellite. Using the aerial view you may see some nearby landmarks to aim for.
