I got an inset stove front of fire Brest is slabbed. The heat coming from top of stove is heating the slab. Is there any material I can put between top of stove and. Slab gap is about 2ins

There will very likely be carbon monoxide escaping as part of those gasses. Tasteless, odorless, invisible and deadly. Be careful.

you can buy the gasket in any heatmerchants branch

but you will need to know if its the old or the newer model of boiler you have

if you post a photo we will be able to tell you

then you need to tell them that when you go to purchase

as the gasket for the newer model is different
