I'm due to sign next Tuesday. Found out today that I've got a job subject to background checks, and I'll be due to start work next Wednesday (assuming all checks are clear). Therefore I'd be signing off online on Tuesday. Do I still go into social welfare to sign on Tuesday? Am I entitled to be paid for the part of the week I won't be working?

You dont have to go in to sign on if you are signing off. Yes you are entitled to a payment next week. From what you say its more than likely you are on jobseekers allowance so collect your money in the post office on Tuesday and you will be paid up to date
