Hello! Does anybody know if there is some site where I can get Irish reference data for free? I know there is jato for which i have to pay, for example via motoringcheck.ie that uses jato. And I know that for new models I can look at the configurators. It would be nice if there were some site like Parkers.co.uk for ireland, does anybody happen to know one? Thank you :)

As far as I'm aware, the only central location for any vehicle information on Irish vehicles, which is free, is www.simi.ie and they only have the RRP for all vehicles available.

As for options pricing, configurator or product guide is the best place to look. They are fairly often correct, but I wouldn't be solely relying on them - then again, there's quite often data missing from JATO for options, some prices (not very many though) are incorrect, but the biggest problem is not always adding in options that are forced by another option.

And don't get me started on increased wheel size / Co2 emissions.....BMW have managed to have this all sorted on their configurator for a few years, so I don't understand why the VAG group can't sort that out.

This information has significant commercial value so why would it be made available free to anyone that simply wanted it. Either to mean to pay for it or the reason you want it is not commercially orientated e.g. College project. If your need is commercially orientated, the product/service should generate revenue and therefore this data has a value i.e. It costs money to access it.
