Lost my German tv

    Hi all,

I have a dual lnb on my dish allowing me to get English and German tv.

Up until recently I was receiving German tv on Astra 1KR without any problems, however it's been gone a month now (no signal on screen) and I've been checking possible faults without any success. The lnb seems to be fine, the switcher is ok....

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    1 check your sat box
    2 dish alignment

DiSEqC switch I assume, how do you know it's OK? If faulty it can still allow the feed connected to the first post to pass through.

The LNB could also have an internal fault.

I tried a new diseqc switcher and swapped the lnbs to establish that it wasn't an lnb problem. I can get a high signal quality and intensity, just no picture.

I guess it could be the box indoors.....? Maybe it's on the wrong LNB Freq/Transponder?

Is the box receiving the UK channels OK?
If they are OK maybe dish alignment is OK also but the Astra1 LNB may have moved out of focus.
Were any of the LNB/DiSEqC settings changed?

The parameters for the Astra1 satellites at 19E can be found here -http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-19.2E.php.

Yes the uk channels are ok, when you say "out of focus" you mean perhaps the settings have been altered? It is possible alright, I'll give a look to that link you sent me, many thanks.
