    I cant remember where i saw it but do some irish companies offer creche facilities?

    If some do, it's probably only the likes of Google, Facebook and if you work there, you are probably not too worried about crèche fees

    My company does, its not in house but we offer subsidised child care in a creche down the road from our main office for all perm employees or a benefit in kind type thing.

    Just because a company appears to offer an on-site creche doesn't necessarily mean it's free, or subsidised.

    Where I come from (overseas) the creche is sometimes run by an outside company that has tendered for the concession to operate in that facility, and pay for the right to do so. When it was first tried, some where run as parent collectives, but it is an enormous amount of work for the parents to organise the place and hire staff, so many moved to a more commercial model.
