Does anyone know if any van rental companies provide straps to hold down furniture? I was hoping to go with europcar but they said they don't provide straps.

    Thanks

Europcar are probably your best bet.

You can get cheap straps in Lidl / Aldi / Woodies / B&Q

Most companies won't provide straps because unfortunately they don't come back with the van a lot of the time.

Try vanrentals.ie in Ballymount, very good to deal with

I suppose a quick ring to a few of the major places will reveal if they can provide straps.
    Alternatively look at man-with-van.

99% of vans travel the roads without straps all day long. Nothing will move if you pack it right and make sure you get a van with a bulkhead so it can't intrude into the cabin space in an accident.

What are you planning on strapping to?

To strap stuff, you need load lock rails, and they won't be fitted in 99% of rental vans as it's additional, unrequired expense.

There should be a few load hooks here and there, so buy some bunjee cords and rent any van. Or just pack it right.

I would imagine too that the straps would need to be rated for loads and tested too for insurance purposes
