    Interesting one. My employer is carving out a piece of the business and it will merge with another external company. Some employees will transfer, some will remain.

    We were told to expect our formal notification of alignment this month. However, this comes with the caveat that this decision could be reversed - potentially right up to the day before the transfer.

    They say they are doing this because they have not yet decided who will go, and appear to be telling people they will go ‘just in case’.

    Apart from the uncertainty this creates for employees, what are people’s opinions on it?
