    You need to think about the original shape of the photo - so for example, if your photo is a postcard shape originally but the mount opening of the frame is shorter - then you need to think about what will be cropped out for you to print at that size.

    The alternative, would be to put the photo on a white background (or any other colour) and then print it so that when printed, it has a border filling up the space to make it the same size as the mount. This does mean you have that border visible however..
