16 - route variations in am from santry

    Hi,

    Can anyone shed some light on the routes the 16 takes in the morning? Transport for Ireland seems to indicate that some go from Shanard Road via Swords Road and Whitehall Church, and that you can get it from the stop at the end of Shanowen Road on the Swords Road, but no sign of it this morning.

    Would appreciate if someone can outline where they go, it's alright playing guess the route when it's dry but can't imagine it being fun in the rain!

    Buses from Shanard Road cross over the flyover and turn directly onto the Swords Road.

    Buses from Collins Avenue start beside Whitehall Church and operate then in an anti-clockwise loop through Beaumont (like an outbound 16) before turning left onto the Swords Road just before the flyover.

    Buses from Larkhill turn directly onto the Swords Road from Collins Avenue.

    Read the footnote beside each departure, and use the RTPI.

    Perhaps a particular departure didn't operate for some reason this morning.

    Thanks a million, that clears it up quite a bit. I ended up walking to Whitehall, and the driver on the 16 I got said his bus came from Shanard Road so I guess the earlier one just didn't show up. Wasn't sure if I had gotten the route wrong or if it just didn't run.
