    Hi

I've been with Eir broadband for 2.5 years and this week I got this month's bill with 3rd price increase. This time was an increase of 12.7%.

I've never had any notification of any of these price increases. I thought they had to inform the customer of any price increases.

Can anyone confirm that they have to notify the customer in advance or am I just imagining that?

    Thanks in advance
    Max

They should give at least 30 days notice of price increase and within that 30 days you should have the option to exit the contract without penalty.

    Thanks for replies.

If I am already past my contract period, Do they still have to give at least 30 days notice?

Yes they do, you still have a contract with them, it's akin to a rolling contract, month to month. Have a look at Comreg website, they have some more details. You can ring / email them if you want to ask more. If you end up having to make a complaint you must go through Eir complaints process first and then to Comreg if you're not happy with Eir response.
