    Hi guys,

So my situation is this. I was admitted to hospital a&e on Friday night with severe pain. (Nothing life threatening or long term thank God). I was put on morphine? Pain killers antibiotics and fluids for the night and I was released Sat morning.

The doctor recommened nothing but bed rest for the next few days which is a must as I'm still in quite alot of pain.

Now here's the problem. It's my husband who works. Now on my meds I cannot drive (they make me high and drowsy) and I can barely move let alone walk. But we have 2 young sons who need minding.

I'm not sure if I am fully up to the task yet but would it be acceptable for my husband to take tomorrow off work??

He works half days im Saturday and had to miss it cause we were still in the a&e depart come 7am (ridiculous).

So he missed half a day on Sat. Am I being unreasonable to maybe ask him to not go in tomorrow???

P.S. pretty drowsy on meds so no nasty comments please. Thanks

He might be able to take annual leave, or force majure, unpaid leave, or some type of leave for this type of situation.

Every workplace is different, he'll be the best judge of what his workplace is like, and how best to sort it with them.

Don't be worrying, rest. See how you feel after a good night's rest.

If you still need to, I'm sure something can be worked out with himself and his employer if he has a chat with them in the morning.

Thanks for that. It's mainly just tomorrowI need him. The hospital set me up a follow on appointment with my doc that I have to attend. No idea how I'm gonna get there... or even get dressed for that matter. Let along dressing the little rascals.

Sadly, it's probably best all round for him to to feign a sick day.

Hope you recover soon trix. :)

Have a chat with him tonight, and let him have a think about a provisional plan to contact his employer in the morning, depending on how you feel then. You can always revise it together then in the morning if you feel a little better. The important thing is to not to worry and get some rest. You'll both be able to work something out.
