Anyone use it, specifically for setting up record from your mobile/tablet, and what postcode did you use?

As your using the app over an Irish IP, is there any issue in entering a postcode for a postal system that is not used/reconised here, or it it just purely so that you can tie it in with the set top box?

Works here fine with no restriction using a London postcode.

Freesat don't care about Geo location for IPs. In fact it makes sense for them not too, else how would UK users on holiday set remote recordings?

I use the app, it can take a few minutes to relay to receiver, I think it says that but used it 3 or 4 times worked each time, on a London post code.

How do you get the app? As far as I remember it was not available on the apple app store in Ireland at least when it came out. Is it the android version?

Its very easy to download from the UK app store on an iOS device. Have a look at this https://www.cnet.com/how-to/create-a-second-apple-id-for-downloading-apps-in-other-countries/

Cheers will try that out. I thought that they prevented that and was afraid of losing my apps linked to my irish account but it seems not to be an issue then.

I regularly switch to the UK store and then back to the Irish account with no issues.

Thanks Lertsnim. Getting the app installed was no problem but had to spend a bit of time getting the network connection to my box working as my homeplug was playing up but after switching to another socket and running a longer network cable it now seems to work fine.

Remote control and recording work fine for me although haven't used it outside my network yet. Using the old BBC television centre post code W12 7RJ and works fine as expected.

Only thing I noticed is that it doesn't find my freetime box on first scan and need to scan twice for it to be picked up but it's no major hassle.
