some sort of manure spreading. My entire garden smelled like crap all weekend, we thought an animal had died on the land.

The smell during the summer is standing water in surface drains that normally empty into the Rye when there is enough flow.

The stench for the couple of days over the weekend was slurry being spread on the fields behind Confey. Admittedly it smelled like they were spreading rotten corpses...

We had this in Celbridge earlier in the year - apparently it was some sort of mushroom compost that is spread on the fields - utterly repulsive smell

Smell tonight around Leixlip UNREAL (just pure faecal!) and told as bad in Celbridge this afternoon .Surely this cant be caused by a few farmers spreading manure or drains ?Who ever is responsible should be strung up!

Yes the smell yesterday was very bad in Celbridge. It was even lingering this morning.

It was definitely a farmer spreading something.
