Self build mortgage

    Hi. Would anyone have any advice re mortgage provider for self build? Any good/bad experiences?

    I'm on the same boat and ptsb seem pretty good. I haven't shopped around much though. Not much choice with self builds.

    Is your planning in place?
    Most banks won't offer a mortgage until planning is granted.

    Yes have full planning

    Just wondering if you have any update on your mortgage provider ? In your situation now looking at banks for a self build, have planning

    We got ours through BOI. Have the rules changed re self builds specifically in the last 2 years? We secured the mortgage this time 2 years ago. We had no issues with them.

    Some bank insist on assigned certifiers others allow registered members of particular professional associations etc
