Hello, I am new to the forum, so forgive me if I haven't posted this correctly. I am hoping to find someone who has a queen for sale, one of mine seems to have disappeared.

This is definitely the wrong time of year to go looking for a queen. If you're lucky, you might find someone with a nuc they were planning to overwinter, and you could unite that with your queenless hive.

However, I have to ask: how do you know you're missing a queen? Your queen may be off lay and we all know how difficult it can be to find a queen determined to stay out of sight, leading you to think she's gone. Have you put a test frame into the hive? If not, I think that's your first step - if they draw queen cells, you've lost your queen; if they don't, it's very unlikely that you have.

Thanks Bpmurray. Will try the test frame of eggs. The weather has been so bad the last few days I haven't had the opportunity to do this. And you're right, definitely the wrong time of year to be looking for a queen.
