We haven't skied since our lads were babies and would really like to bring them this year. We would have to go in early January, so any thoughts on where would be suitable, good snow, good ski school, would be very helpful
    Thanks

Not really predictable in advance Polly, but if you aim for the higher resorts (3 valleys, Val Disere / Tignes, Cervinia) you will probably have a better chance than most. Early Jan has been problematic last few years so height does help.

After that I've heard Flaine in France is good for kids, think Fattes recommends a few places in Austria

Check out snowheads website also, a lot of threads on skiing with kids albeit quite Brit centric

Thanks a148pro, I have been looking at Alp d'Huez or Sauze d'oulx. Alp d'huez is higher, but Sauze had quite good snow in the early season the last couple of years (not that that means much!!)
