New Van Paint Protection

Just bought myself a new Caddy Highline van 2.0 and I'm looking to find out what are the best products to use to protect the paint long term?

I have done a lot of polishing and detailing of my own cars and friends cars in the past but I've never ventured past regular sealants and glazes. I was looking at the nano products and the ceramic coating products to give long term protection. Looking for paint, glass and alloy protection. The van is fully colour coded and is candy white, no plastic bumpers and the likes. Il be collecting the van next week hopefully and il have a few weeks before its insured and on the road properly so plenty of time to use such products properly, it will be stored in a dry shed.

Ask vectra and/or Curran (aka detailing shed) for the info on carpro gear, long term ceramic stuff.

Think maybe metzmeister or foxhole use gtechnic ceramic stuff.

I am thinking this route once my gear runs out or my project is painted.

Hopefully they might come across this and give some advice.

I know it's a van but I'm very fussy so I might aswel give it the right treatment from the start to save work in the long run.

As already pointed out, CarPro and gtechniq are the two favourites in thesearch parts. Both being very capable.

I suppose the best advice is to ensure you follow manufacturers instructions in terms of preparation, application and curing, to achieve maximum performance from your chosen products.

Make sure the dealer doesn't touch it!

    Yeah...good point!!!
Get them to remove the delivery protection, plastic, foam, etc....do not let them wash it.

Unfortunately it's a pre registered 161 ex demo so its already got the dealers dirty sponges and brushes all over it. On the plus side it had only 2km on it until I test drove it and its significantly cheaper than getting the same spec in 162 plate so il get over the few swirls considering the price saving.

Has anybody used these fabric sealants for seats? They look like they do a good job. I'm coming out of a 520d with cream leather that was a nightmare to keep clean so this should be much easier to keep looking fresh regardless.

Edburg is correct, myself and MetzgerMeister have Gtechniq's Crystal Serum Light and EXO on our cars and I've applied it to some others too, I love it. Easy to wash/dry and protects very well against swirls and I have a black car!

I've also used Gtechniq's I1 Smart Fabric sealer and its fantastic, water just sits on the fabric!
