Revenue have issued me with a notice of self assessment that is clearly wrong. It does not take into account the PAYE deducted at source so it's basically showing a large outstanding balance.

I'm panicking now as it says that I can't appeal, despite it being clearly wrong. What can I do? very stressed.

Who/how was the return submitted? An amended return can be submitted to include the PAYE already deducted from salary.

It was the 2013 return via ROS. The form 11 had the deductions from PAYE in it but their re-assessment doesn't include it.

Double check the copy of the return in your ROS inbox. Usually the notice of assessment is generated automatically from the electronic submission. If the PAYE didn't transfer across for whatever reason, a quick phone to your local tax office on Monday should sort that out.
But bear in mind that if you've only submitted your 2013 return now, it's well late and will be surcharged.

The return was submitted on time in 2014.

I hope i can sort it with a phone call. I've re-done the sums again so I am 100% sure that they haven't included the PAYE deducted at source.

The fact that the letter said that it can't be appealed just sent me into pure panic.

    thanks for your help.

If it was submitted in 2014, why was it reassessed now?
