My parents are travelling for 6 months and have brought an asus tablet with them . they sometimes run into trouble with it . i was wondering if there is any software other than teamviewer that would allow me to log into their tablet and control it from my pc (or even phone) and see what is happening and make adjustments. teamviewer is excellent for this but unfortunately you have to have the business version for an asus which i think costs 500. any suggestions welcome. thanks in advance.

If you just want control I recommend droidmote server and client.

If you need to see the androids screen on yours try any of the various vnc servers and clients.

You can use Mobizen but you will need the gmail account password of the tablet.

Install Mobizen on the tablet, open and login with the gmail account.

On your pc browser login to Mobizen using the same gmail account.
    https://www.mobizen.com/?locale=en

You will see the tablet screen in the browser with full control.

Reading it again, I think the screen mirroring is different than using it in browser. There a separate Mobizen desktop app.

Give it a try if you have a 3g tablet.

As I said in original post teamviewer is only available on Asus devices if you have a business account . I Use teamviewer on my own android devices and it exactly what I'm looking for but a no go in this instance.
