I only became aware of this after last week's Kermode and Mayo Film Review, my interest piqued by Mark Kermode's glowing review and comparisons to other genre favourites.

It took a little bit of finding, but I'm just out of a showing and I loved it, and I highly recommend it. It has drawn comparisons to The Babadook, which I think are on the money; not only are there similarities in narrative/themes (a strained mother/child relationship, a supernatural antagonist as a metaphor), but it did to my nerves what The Babadook and few other horrors have done in recent years.

Netflix have bought the rights to worldwide distribution, so if you can't find a screening near you then it should become accessible soon. It has also been submitted as the UK's Best Foreign Picture entry for the Academy Awards.
