I am, what's the guy Ricky Burns is fighting later meant to be like, he has a good KO rate so far but it looks to be against tin cans.

Supposedly a good hitter to the body. Listed as two inches shorter than Burns yet looked an inch taller at weigh in. Relative unknown, but big KO percentage.

    British heavyweight title fight.

Typical fight from Whyte not doing enough but in control all the same, should be finishing these guys off inside 5 rounds.

Looks in decent condition though, best I've seen him.

    Hoping Burns gets KTFO!

Ditto from me, decent odds on Relikh for a KO win.

    Uncomfortable first round by Burns.

Relikh is looking very good here.

Not really. Quite skilled and balanced.

A bit better from Burns in that 3rd round.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 57,825 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Good fight. And looks like it could get better.

    Is Relikh being found out?

Don't get the hate for Rickie, limited fighter, lot of guts, leaves it all out there...

You said you hoped he got knocked the **** out, why would you wish that on anybody if you didn't hate them?

Hate is a ridiculous word to use.

I certainly don't want to see him suffer. KTFO just a term I used. I don't rate him as a fighter. As a person I have no view.

Good scrap. But Burns is defo looking the the better.

When Burns meets anyone with real quality he's done for. Again!

Very good 8th round by Burns.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 57,825 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Burns footwork in retreat mode and offence in retreat mode are winning the fight for him. Very good!

Cracking round by both men. All to fight for now.

Without doubt the boss tonight seems to be Reylik. Never really pushed back or controlled. He looks like the boss!

Very close. Could hinge on this. Reylik by 1 for me.

Even steven going into the last.

Good scrap. But Burns is defo looking the the better.

Funny this. I'm watching this in a packed boozer so only getting to see bits here and there but every time I've looked at it Relikh has looked the better man.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 57,825 ✭✭✭✭walshb

All the big moments were Reylik's. Reylik won the last and IMO he nicks it by 1-2 points.

    Good fun that one

Score it now, boys. Home advantage might swing it for Burns. Maybe even a draw.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭megadodge

Considering Relikh's inexperience, I think he did very well. With another few fights he'll be a serious fighter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 57,825 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Bad card that 118-110 I feel.

Forgetting the score. Reylik looked far more comfortable and far stronger throughout. With a little more accuracy he gets Burns out of there.

    Ricky the better man overall

Bloody hell, no way was there 4 or more rounds in it. But I did feel, the longer the fight went on, the weaker Relikh's punches got.

Not too sure about that, I thought he pressured well but was ragged, burns isn't a big hitter, somebody a bit heavier handed could have exposed him imo

But that's my whole point. Tidying up his defense a bit and cutting off the ring better, something he should work on in his next few fights, could take him onto the next level.

For the record I thought Burns won by about 3 rounds, so I've no problem with the 116-112 scorecards.
