Car heating issue Renault Megane

    Hi all.

    Renault Megane. 07.

    Heating not working on settings 1,2 and 4,

    Works on 3. Hot and cold.

    Any ideas? Thanks

    Check the wiring to the resistor pack for switching voltages when toggling fan speed switch. Also check connector for signs of resistance (melted connector).

    Had it happen on an old golf of mine. Relay was gone. Got one in a breakers yard for €20, fitted it myself in less than 15 mins.

    It could be a thermal fuse on the resistor pack cost about 2 euro to fix.

    Renault use cheap switches bet the contact for 1 2 and 4 are burned out

    If the OP means the blower settings are gone, then it's a power resistor module that's failed.
    The only fix is to replace the whole unit.
    It's a known Renault fault.

    Yes indeed and thank you...my post was badly worded..yes blower settings.
