Where did I ever refer to Trump? I have never discussed him on any thread. What did I say about him????

Ah. Okay. Sorry, when I was explaining analogies earlier I thought you were pretending not to understand what analogies were. Now I know I was mistaken.

would be fine with me :D if they left the place as they found it and no traces of them being there-maybe just some clean up on place.

Are you stating that you are giving permission for you dwelling to be searched at all times, uncontested?

It's the way it's being done is what I object to. The NSA and GCHQ take an approach of saying "well lets monitor everyone and we'll pick out the bad guys".

everything you do in you life is monitored. I don't know how anyone could be happy with that.
Actually, nothing in my life is monitored. I'm pretty certain of that.

I mean, I'm sure if I start using facebook and Microsoft Outlook to communicate with ISIS, that will be monitored. Only then does an alarm go off, and only then are my communications intercepted and monitored. But right now, my data is almost certainly background noise which nobody in the NSA or any other intelligence agency has the remotest interest in listening to.

And believe it or not, I doubt anyone in those organisations is remotely interested in you either.

One big problem with data security is that records can be kept for ages. In the future everyone will have a past.

In the 20th century millions were killed because of ethnicity or political views or sexual orientation. In the cultural revolution of China and the killing field of Cambodia education or even the perception of education like wearing glasses was enough. Most people on boards would fall foul.

Compared to US Republican core values most people here would be un-American. Anti-creationists who voted for gay marriage and get worked up over socialist policies like free heath and education

Imagine a McCarthy Witch Hunt where they have access to all your data including everyone you've communicated with. Who knows what the "fear" in the future may be.

Had East Germany held out for a few more years then the Stasi wouldn't have as much info on you as google.

In August 2010, Saudi Arabia and RIM reached an agreement that enabled the company to avoid having its service banned. The deal involved the installation of a BlackBerry server inside the country, allowing the government to monitor users' messages.
    ...
Faced with similar requests, and possible bans from other countries, including India and Indonesia, RIM said it did offer to help governments.

Your so naive. If you were talking with ISIS how do you think they would know that ?

The only way they would know it is by monitoring everyone and then seeing which ones were communication with ISIS.
