    Hi All

We are humbly requesting could anyone in this forum could pass on their thoughts, suggestions, and strategies on converting our web based films into a TV programme.

We have created two Street Gaelic Football videos - Peil Star 1 and Peil Star 2.

They got decent viewership numbers across Facebook, YouTube & Newspaper Websites (Peil Star 1 = 40k views approx. / Peil Star 2 = 150k views approx.)

We also got some positive reviews on websites such as balls.ie, sportsjoe.ie and various newspaper websites, although we weren't able to crack the more established news sources (RTE/ independent.ie etc)

We believe that a similar concept will carry well on TV either by making similar shorts OR extending to a half hour programme.
We believe our films are of high quality and somewhat unique. (Our video team last week was awarded the best international BMX video of 2016)

We are aware of the sound and vision grants where we are guessing it would prudent to partner with a TV production company ..maybe?

To be totally honest, we on completely new territory here.

We like to think we know how to make the films: how to get the right players, what locations work, what music works, what structure works but we really need assistance in coming up with sort of a strategy in how we put this together as a TV programme.

Any thoughts, suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

Pitch the show to RTÉ, TG4, Eir or TV3.

They may also consider it for BAI funding.

I've just watched your stuff on Youtube. Good editing and camera work but at the end of the day its a 4 minute video of kicking a ball and catching said ball.

How would you make that interesting over a 23 minute program?

You need to write a pitch of what program you will make for a TV channel, They like a pitch to have what the program is about,
    what the story is,
How you will portray that story?
Who you will film or interview and what questions you will ask.

You should pitch it at Eir who might take it for filler program or like saturday football its a cross bar challenge. This type of videos are more suited to Facebook where you will get a viral success.

If all else fails Irish TV will take anything :pac:
