Pay reduction

Hey all, company I work for have issued a new pay structure. But it means I will lose .97c per hour off my pay. Rang payroll, and was just told well its the new pay rate...I have gone to hr but they didn't have an answer. I thought pay reduction had to be accepted first?

Do you have a contract ?

If so is there a stated hourly of pay. If there is and there trying to alter it, reject the proposal.
