Calling All Hen Owners!

    Hello!

We are reaching out to those of you who own and enjoy owning laying hens/poultry from any corner of Ireland!

Being a part time farmer myself and owning a small number of hens over many years I have come across a problem that I have not been able to find a solution for. Any of you who are working full time jobs with even a few hens at home might be able to relate to the problem I experience on a weekly basis. Food and water consumption has always been a pet peeve of mine since our fist batch of hens years ago. Anyone who uses portable gravity fed systems will know the pain of having clogged/empty feeders and drinkers without any prior warning despite regular checkups. Thats only scratching the list. In an era where devices like MooCall calving sensors can make farm life so much easier I want to get rid of this problem!

In order to fully grasp peoples opinion of this potential problem I have created this small typeform survey that takes seconds to finish!

For anyone that has owned any form of poultry small scale or big please help me build information for a solution to the problem in hand! Anyone who knows exactly what Im talking about please get in touch through our email if you would be interested in product testing. We are looking for anyone in Urban/Suburban/Rural areas to take part!

    Thank you in advance!

We are discussing whether to allow this or not, in the meantime could you have a read of the charter in the stickies, thank you.

    FROM THE CHARTER

Surveys, Market Research, and other data/information gathering methods are dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

If you wish to engage with the members of the Farming & Forestry forum in any such endeavour, you must first contact the forum moderators.

You will have to explain your intentions in order to satisfy the moderators that your activity is of interest, and potentially of benefit, to the forum and the farming community in general.

The final decision with any aspect of the above rests with the moderators and is not up for debate.
