    Hi everyone,
I have a parkside dremel type tool from lidl that I bought several years ago, I was looking to see if anyone can tell me if I can get small router bits and possibly a plunge router attachment for it?? Or if anyone knows if standard Dremel bits fit it??
It's for routing out channels for inlay work on guitar headstocks/fretboards.

    Thanks:)

Or if anyone knows if standard Dremel bits fit it??

Check the diameter of the collets that came with it and then go online.

Might be better to get a basic router for the job. I have a small Hitachi ¼" router for years which is great for small jobs like that. But successful routing is all about guides and/or templates for work like that I think.

The OP appears to need a router capable of intricate work with minute detail.

I remember borrowing a Lidl/Aldi one from my brother a few years ago to grind a tiny bolt and it had 3 different dia. collets. Just out of curiousity, are none of them compatible with dremel?

I have a Dremel and that takes Lidl bits. Dremel do a router attachment, I don't know if it will fit the Lidl tool.

If you want attachments then best bet is to go for a genuine dremel.

As far as I know, you can get collets for the various diameters. I have a dremel with 4 collets.
Dremel bits I have are a mix of 2.3mm and 3.1mm. I have a box of powerfix bits and they are all 3.1mm

Nah. Unfortunately. I initially picked up a 'selection box' of Lidl bits on spec to see if they'd work. Ended up buying the tool to use them with.

I would gladly buy one if I could afford it! Unfortunately I'm a broke student for the time being, was just hoping I might be able to use what I had and try get a couple router bits, makes the job a lot easier and more precise:)
Thanks for the info though I'll keep asking and see if I can change the collets to suit other bits:)

Thanks, I might have to just fork out for a dremel whenever I can afford it down the line. Routing is normally done with guides alright but this is marked out and done by eye more so, hence the dremel type tools are fantastic:)

I think a Dremel normally only comes with one collet, I had to buy the different sizes set afterwards.
