Interview Feedback

I attended an interview last week. It was a positive experience. At the end of the interview the hiring manager stood up, shook my hand and said "I enjoyed that"

Now I know this seems a good thing, however I had the same thing happen to me several years ago, albeit was the Personnel manager who said it then.

The hiring manager for the previous job was odd, I wasn't allowed to ask questions at the end of the first interview. following the second interview, I was told I wasn't successful and the agency told me they were told not to give feedback, upon being pushed, the agent said I wasn't a good cultural fit !?!

Sooo my learned friends. If the hiring manager says he enjoyed the interview, would you take it as a positive indicator ??

I'm in the usual internal post mortem phase of it was good / could have done better !
