irishgenealogy.ie - missing entries shown on findmypast.ie

I searched irishgenealogy.ie for a particular person; nothing shows up for them there, but searching for them in findmypast.ie shows entries in the both the "Irish Marriages 1845-1958" and "Irish Births 1864-1958" categories.

I thought this indexed the entries now available on irishgenealogy.ie. Is there a reason they don't show up there?

There are definitely some inconsistencies and gaps, and the IrishGenealogy/GRO Civil Index can be fussy to search. If you find a record on FamilySearch (or one of the sites which use their transcripts), then try by looking for other records of the same type in the same district, year/quarter and volume no., ideally with a close page no., and then cross-check these on IrishGenealogy/GRO, and 'scroll' back or forward until you get to the register page you need

Unfortunately doesn't work in this particular instance; it's a marriage in Balrothery in 1955, and doing a search _all_ marriages in Balrothery after 1940 are missing from irishgenealogy.ie. Not sure why this is.

1955 is too 'recent' for marriages on IrishGenealogy, it's past the cut-off

    cut-offs are 100/75/50 years for Births, marriages and deaths, 1915 1940 & 1965

Oceanclub - worth remembering the data protection cut-offs in all cases. I'm going to close this thread because it'll confuse people in the future.
