    Hi guys, I hope you can help me with this one.

    I have looked through the internet and couldn't find anything specific.
    Would anybody know any garage who would perform an engine swap on a Seicento 1.1MPI to 1.2 8V from Punto Mk.1?

    I also don't want to get crazy quotes. 1200e is the quote I got with all the parts and all the work done by a reputable garage in Poland that specialises in all kind of swaps on a Sei. I would like to see who could do it for me in Ireland before I send my car abroad :P

    Thanks in advance.

    You'd be best sending it to Poland, I can't think of anyone who'd do that swap in Ireland, despite it's simplicity...

    Ever consider a turbo or screamer (1.4 pistons with 1.1 crank) swap?

    There used to be a Novitec Company that made turbo kits for Seicento but they discontinued them, its fairly hard to find one these days and it's not really cost efficient.

    The guys put bored out throttle bodies, 866 Punto Cam's and few other things to increase the power, but you wont make the most out of it from a standard ECU (which is not programmable). Aftermarket ECU would increase the costs too much, and you are only straining a 1.1 engine. That's why it's better off just do it 1.2 Swap, it's nearly a straight bolt in job. But I have the MPI version (compared to easier to be swapped SPI) which makes it too difficult for me to attempt it. I rather give it to the garage even if I have to pay few quid for it.

    Bump, any thought on this?

    Still interested in 1.1 MPI -> 1.2 8V MPI

    Just to be 100% sure... You're not going to turbo it...

    If you were going 1.2, why not the 1.2 16v with high lift cam and early ECU? 86bhp on tap and all bolt in!

    I heard that 8v has better lower-end torque, If swap is done and I keep the car for a while then maybe.. turbo.. but it's a long shot. I found a guy in Northern Dublin who did the swap before, he will get back to me with a quote.tongue.png
