Is shed exempt if I have built a garage with planning permission already?

    Hi,
I built a house and double garage with planning permission a number of years ago.
The garage is to the rear of the house.
I want to put in a steel shed under 25m2 to the rear of the house also.
There will still be loads of garden space left.
Will that be exempt or will I have to apply for permission?
Planning Acts exemption definition has me confused.

    Thanks for any helpful guidance.

    You need permission.

You can build up to 25sq m without permission, but I'm going to assume you already have more than that as you applied for permission previously.

What you have + what you want must be below 25sq m to be considered exempt.

Thanks, that what I suspected but hoped would not be the case.
