Decrypt Storage HTC One M8

Have an issue with my HTC One M8s where it will only boot to a Decrypt Storage password prompt screen. When I enter any password it says that the password is correct but the data is corrupt and I have to reset to factory settings. I hit the reset button but it just powers off and doesn't come back on.

I can get into fastboot alright but cannot recover it from there either. The reason I ended up here is because I unlocked the phone in Feb and as a result 3 say the ROM was custom so my phone would not update to Android 6. So I decided to try and do it myself. I unlocked the bootloader using htcdev account but I could never actually get TWRP to run for me so I locked the bootloader again and since then the phone has been acting strange.

Just want to go back to factory settings now at this stage if thats even possible. Might be easier to just send into 3 shop to be repaired/recovered ? ? ?
