I have a number of pinhole leaks in my 18 year old indirect copper cylinder. I am going to get a new cylinder and have drained the tank in preparation. My question is, can I still run my oil fired central heating system for the time being until the plumber arrives as long as I leave the central heating pipes connected to the tank? Many thanks in advance for your help.
