Hi. I signed a work contract and it seems it may have been signed wrongly when it was given back for example.

There is a space for my name.
Above that is a space for a director.

It was signed instead by a manager who used PP.

    Quote from wiki:

Here are some examples of how to use the p.p. designation when signing on someone else's behalf.

    p.p. Staff Signature
    President's Name

    President's Name
    p.p. Staff Signature

    =================

But mine was signed like this:

    Staff Signature
    PP President's Name

The difference is the PP is not before the diector's name.

    Any thoughts?
    Cheers

My own view once it is clear that the staff member was doing so on behalf of the Director.

Thanks it's not clear because of the amguity of the meaning PP. But I suppose it's legally binding going by definition.

A contract of employment can be binding even if no written contract is signed, the only employment law requirement is a person is given written terms of employment.

Employment contracts, like but even more so, than consumer contracts have swaithes of legislation that fills in the blanks. Not to mention the law around agency...
