Does anyone know if you can watch this on a Sony Smart TV?

There's no such thing as UTV iPlayer.

If you are referring to UTV NI programming, its catch-up service is now called ITV Hub and it is available as an app for smart TV's but will be geo-blocked for RoI.

If you are referring to UTV Ireland programming, its catch-up service is called UTV Player and they have apps for phones/tablets, but I don't believe they have one for smart TV's (and likely never will at this stage given the channels status) so your only option is to watch online or on any devices you may have. The built in browser on the TV might allow you to watch that way, software depending, and if it does work the picture quality won't be all that great.

Unfortunately Smart TV's aren't so smart. You are restricted to what the manufacturer allows.

ITV hub is not geo-blocked for me in D24. I get all the ITV hub channels, But BBC/C4/C5 is blocked for some reason on my Humax Freetime box for some reason (BB is Virgin).
