I'm in my late 20s (singer/guitarist) and looking for other musicians to play with as a band. In terms of sounds, I'm looking at genres such as choral, symphonic, psychedelic, punk, grunge with rock n roll element in it. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Anyone is welcome and look forward to hearing from you.

"Choral, symphonic..with rock n roll element in it...."

Could you give examples of this please. I'm a bit lost as to what you mean. :)

I'm thinking 'Westminster Boys Choir, doing Beethoven 9, with Chuck Berry on guitar'. Am I close, OP?

Any room for a guitalele player?

Yep...I was thinking along those lines myself. :D

Hopefully the OP will enlighten us with Youtube clips of examples.

Sure! The fact is I love quite different genres and so just don't want to stick to a particular genre but to experiment with what we play. For instance, choral music like Kodaline, symphonic like The Last Shadow Puppets, Punk like Green Day, we could also have all elements in. Hope it helps :)

Doesn't sound like there'll be much room for my guitalele.

    :(

    Ah, well...

Umm, I thought it'd be cool to have guitalele though in any genre. We could give it go at the song you're thinking of 🀔

Your dead right. If you don't have a broad approach then how will you grow as a musician? It would be like saying your a historian who only knows Von Bismark. I'm a Bee Gees playin' Hawley diggin' SLF lovin' guitar man. I would join you in a shot. I'm in Wexford

I thoroughly agree. My earlier posts were not meant as a mockery. However, if you intend to gig, it's unlikely that you'd include choral and orchestral pieces alongside say..Elvis and Marvin Gaye on the set list. Then again...perhaps some would. ;)
