Parking sensors problem C Class 2008

    Hi,

just got this car a few days ago and the parking sensors system gives two warning red lights on the front and rear.

Is there a way to tell which sensor is gone without diagnostics gear? I have tried with a stethoscope but can't get any of them to tick.

Or does somebody have access to a Merc specific code reader on the Northside or centre of Dublin?

    Thanks

    Richard- Dublin 3

Stand to one side of the car and place your hand over each one individually, if ya get what I mean.

Hi Richard, the sensors don't tick and depending on the fault the system can shut down before you have the chance to block each sensor individually. I have the Star Tester and am based in Donabate, or sometimes Malahide. I'll scan it for you no problem. BTW be careful buying them on eBay, I managed to accumulate 6 ones from different sellers that simply do not work.

Thanks. I bought an i980 scanner and it told me the two sensors to change. The ebay ones are working great so far.

A very kind offer though. Thanks
