I thought this would be easy but it's feckin NOT!!

    Criteria for said car.

    Minimum year -2010
    4 or 5 door saloon/estate/fastback etc
Fuel: Petrol 1.8 or 2.0 (nothing smaller or larger for tax reasons)
    Manual transmission
No more than 80k miles on the clock.

Obviously with the above criteria you can pretty much rule out buying a car in Ireland as the above type simply don't exist so a UK car is my only real option.

    Options so far are

2.0 Accord as the 2.4i would cost €1200 to tax and that is not an option.
2.0 Mazda 6 Takuya (very real contendor at this stage)

and that's about it, nothing else takes my fancy. I'd dearly love a 2010 Subaru Legacy but the tax is ridiculous for them here. Other contenders are 2.0TFSi Audi's but theyre pricey and to keep within budget I'd be looking at higher mileage cars.

Anyone else got any opinions, I've ruled out Volvos as they're simply ugly, I don't want a BMW because, well simply...they're BMW's, French cars are absolutely no go, Mondeos and Insignias are also a no go as they're rep mobiles and so there's not much left.
