Heating losing pressure

Just wondering if anyone could give me advice.

My central heating pressure goes from 1.5 to 0 bar in about 2-3 hours without turning the heating on. I have had a leak detection firm in to check and they could not find a leak. There are no visible signs of a leak anywhere in the house.
The guy did suggest it could be caused by a crack in the pipe that heats the hot water tank. He asked me to run the heating when the pressure was zero to see if the upstairs rads heated. Downstairs rads were fine, upstairs rads were warm at the bottom and cold at the top. Would this suggest the leak was at upstairs level?
He said he'd be back with equipment to test this 2 weeks ago, but I'm having trouble getting him back (not answering calls etc.). Strange thing is I haven't even paid him anything yet so I thought he'd be back for sure, but that's another story :)

Some more info.....in February this year our plumber fitted a new expansion vessel as our heating was constantly hitting 3 bar, with water dripping from the outlet outside. Heating/water was then fine for a few months, but then the pressure dropped. I've had the same plumber back, but he couldn't find anything and suggested we get a leak detection firm in (see above).

Just wondering where to go now with the cold weather drawing in. The plumber did already try leak sealant, but is it worth trying that again? Any recommendations for reliable leak detection firms that won't bankrupt me?

    Thanks for any help.
