    Hi all,

I have a 2005 ford mondeo 2.0tdci 115bhp. Last week it started overheating so I changed the water pump, thermostat and belt. All was good for about a week until yesterday on my way home from work it started again. When I bleed the water pump water squirts out. When I pull the return pipe off the expansion tank no water comes out of it. All the parts I installed were new . Any ideas?

Sounds like it could be an airlock or a faulty new pump.

for anyone in future with this problem; the water pump is splined onto the power steering pump which is attached to the belt. The male splines on the water pump had actually sheared and it was spinning at low rpm just fine but when the revs went up the pump wasn't spinning. Thanks Ford!
