advise on Single child allowance

my Friend of course, has moved to a new county(neighbouring) and has not told the social welfare system...Now having been drawn single child allowance and not checking or moving post she has gotten cut off....Until she proffers a new address.......
Now moving on from the initial stupidity of this there are other reasons for their move i wont go into and only say they have personal things going on

My questions

*Can they give a temporary address and continue to draw Single child allowance without the delay of time and movement to new counties social welfare office (postoffice etc)?

*what is the view of a temporal address ,ie: that of staying with a friend without rent and bills...?


Also they do not get rent allowance or any other payments like job seekers disability etc...just single child allowance....

Not sure where this thread will end up but if someone comes across it and has simular experience or advise, please let me know as it is negotiations time

Get your "friend" to contact the Dept. herself and ask what they want in this case. No need for you to get involved here, especially when that information may get her payments suspended.
