P+D up to 55 plan - final week query

    I'm following the 18 week plan in the thread title and was wondering what people thought about the last week. It has 6 recovery on Tuesday and 7 with 2 MP on Wednesday. Then, rest on Thursday, 5 recovery+strides Friday and 4 Recovery Saturday. Is it a bit much to be running the two days before the marathon? I know the general advice is stick to the plan but I'd be more inclined to swap around Thursday and Friday. Any thoughts? Does anybody who followed this plan to the letter feel that the last two runs were a bit much?

    They're at recovery pace, just keeping your legs ticking over. They shouldn't take anything out of you

    Just make sure you stick to your recovery pace: it can be hard during taper to slow down sometimes.

    You're overthinking it. But If you feel swapping thu/fri works, go for it. As raycun points out, it's only question of rest vs recovery + strides. Either way it wil make feck all difference if you reverse these minor workouts.

    You could make them 4 and 3 miles instead of 5 and 4 if you like, will make no difference
