hi guys i started work yesterday in security and got my roster . I am working 6 12 hour shifts for my first week which is (wednesday to wednesday) so in total im working 72 hours . Apon reading my contract it says that the first week is a lying week . So since im working 72 hours my first week will i not be paid at all…

So since im working 72 hours my first week will i not be paid at all since its a lying week or am i entitled to atleast some of them hours in pay since a legal working week is 48 hours ?

I've never heard the phrase lying week before? I've heard of a back week alright and what that means is you're always getting paid for the previous week and then when you leave you get paid the final week the week after you finish. Hope that makes sense.
