Student Visa coming to ireland - being paid for working online

    Hello everyone

    Im asking on behalf of a friend.
    She is coming to Ireland on a 1 year student visa (non-EU). She works for a company online, working 20hrs per week and makes around 180e per week (variable income). Her employer pays her through paypal.

    What steps should she take when moving to ireland?

    Will her visa application be affected because she isn't paying Irish tax?
    Should she registered with revenue? and get PPS number
    Should she say nothing and keep working as is?

    Firstly, "say nothing and keep working" - against the charter in the thread rules.

    Second - Visa Application queries don't belong in the taxation forum.

    Third - Revenue aren't responsible for issuing the PPS Numbers.

    If she is getting paid via PayPay for what i assume is freelance work, then she's not really an employee, more of a self employed individual. She wouldn't be taxable on income of €180 as it is too small to be taxed here in Ireland
