Did they snort or inject something when they decided this?

    http://www.98fm.com/Garded-Shed-In-Drimnagh-For-Rent-For-1000

It's the housing boom all over again exept in rental terms.

Hope it goes bang and teaches all greedy landlords a lesson......did we not learn from the last collapse??

Should be a cap on rent in regards to the actual house value or mortgage repayments

It went bang for landlords a few years ago, there where regular posts of people getting several hundred Euro off the asking price when starting a rental or renewing the lease. I don't recall many people looking for rent control then.

Funnily enough it's only since rent has started increasing that landlords are selling up in droves.

Not like the rent is higher than the middle of the CT now or anything....

worst thing is that you would be still be considered a leasee rather than a tenant, and have very few rights.
with the microwave being the only cooking apparatus, it doesn't meet minimum standards to be rented as a separate property.

They would still be a tenant not a licensee, because they have their own entrance.

It's higher now than the boom. 1000 for a garden shed is fcuking disgraceful. Whoever is charging that should be disgusted with themselves.

It's funny how the government assume house prices going up is good when in actual fact it's the death of the economy.

Shows how bad it is when during the highest rents landlords are exiting at a huge rate, you'd think that they would be rushing in not out. Must be some reason driving them out as not many exited when rent was falling.

I'm sure if I checked donedeal I could find a car for crazy money. I don't think that anyone bar the chancer who advertised the shed thinks its acceptable.

That shed would be ok for someone. Its the price that is nuts.

We've had this thread a few times now...there is a dedicated thread on funny houses/flats to rent where this particular property has and is being dicussed.
