Ireland is a beautiful country with great people. It is welcoming skilled/educated people from around the world including a good number of doctors and their families. I happen to be one of them who has recently moved to Ireland with my family.

Everything about this country is beautiful except for the Car Insurance. Buying a car, renting a decent accommodation, health facilities, quality of life, education are all world class and easily available. But No company is willing to insure on International License not even on Irish provisional lisence.

Its meant for the security of people on road, the driver and other road users. Ireland is ready to entrust lives of its Citizens in the hand of these doctors but insurance companies are not willing to extend their services.

    Are you an EU citizen?
    Who did you try already?

I have tried literally everyone. Some need me to be in Ireland for minimum of a year others for two.

Ok, so then you probably don't have an Irish nor EU driver's licence.
This means they probably can consider you a higher risk and thus increase premium.

Try ringing a few brokers and explain your situation, perhaps they can help.
